I've been getting a bit interested in trying out sim racing lately and am keen to hear about peoples thoughts & experiences with some of the entry level gear. Probably not in my budget right now (and I've never tried one before so I don't want to spend too much) but I'm eagerly watching Facebook Marketplace for a bargain...
Based on other discussions I've been reading it seems like the Logitech G29/920 second hand are most peoples preferences. Near me however they seem to be going for $250+ regularly second hand. There are a couple Thrustmasters going for about the same or even slightly lower price (T128/150 mainly). Obviously anything direct drive is way out of my price range :(.
Does anyone have experience with these and have suggestions for what to look out for, hold out for, what would be best bet for a newcomer to sim racing?
