Honestly, I'm not sure its worth it at the price. The whole point of it was to be more of a budget friendly way to get into PC gaming for console players i thought? What do you guys think? is it a flop or am I just bein a hater?
i would pick the handheld legion go 2 what are your picks
Hard to narrow it down to one recommendation, from Tower to laptop to GO/2 they deliver on all fronts
The eight year old 3 in 1 laptop I'm typing this on. Light, portable, handles all my non-gaming tasks.
Hey everyone! 👋
I've been doing a lot of research on the Lenovo Legion 5i lately and wanted to share my thoughts and hear from people who already own or have used one.
What caught my attention:
The Legion 5i with the Intel Core i7-14700HX and RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 looks like a really solid mid-range pick. The 15.1" OLED display at WQXGA (2560x1600) and 165Hz is genuinely impressive for both gaming and content creation — that panel quality at this price range is hard to beat.
What I'm still unsure about:
Does the Coldfront Hyper cooling system actually hold up during long gaming sessions without heavy throttling?
On demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077 or Black Myth: Wukong at 1440p, can the RTX 5060 maintain stable framerates?
Does the Legion AI Engine make a real difference in performance, or is it mostly a marketing feature?
Who is this laptop for?
It feels like the sweet spot for someone who wants solid gaming performance and decent portability without jumping to an RTX 5070 Ti build. But is the price gap between this and the Legion Pro 5i actually worth it?
Would love to hear from anyone with hands-on experience! Drop your thoughts below.
Thief 4 was my first game in the series and I really enjoyed the game. So when a VR game was announced i was pretty darn excited about it. I got my hands on it and realy sank my teeth in . Here is a video about my experience.
I'm currently trying to find any games that are fun and free because I often hop games and forget about it.
I am purchasing a Switch 2 for my library where I am in charge of the 11-18 year old crowd. What peripherals/accessories would be best? So far I'm sure I need 4 sets of controllers w/ 4 sets of the charging grips. What else would you recommend to maximize the fun and utility for popular games like Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart World, and Kirby's Air Raiders?
I would be very curious to hear how your experience has been so far. I would think you would need to purchase some extra special indestructible case. 😆 I hope I am wrong and that everything has worked out fine but I would be absolutely paranoid unleashing kids on a device like that without hardcore safeguards.
Get gulikit es pros, they cost 30$ each, and have full switch 2 support, and you can even get replacement buttons so they will have the switch button layout, and it is really easy to switch the buttons, good luck
I was wondering if anyone here has an opinion on vintage story because it looks cool but it sort of feels alot like minecraft.
BF6 is fun to play, but $70 is a bit much. Runs great on my Lenovo 4080 with a 2k screen. A nitpick on my part is they block cussing in the chat, but the game cusses (like asking for a medic), which is totally unneeded.
I have watch COD 7 play on the 1st hour and I just don't find that game interesting, I have liked it since the 1st one based on WW2 or whatever.
I want to get Jagged Alliance 3, but I want it for under 20. Any thoughts on this game?
The biggest thing holding BF6 back is progression. They tied extremely important class tools behind tedious grinds. These negatively affects everyone's experiences since teammates will be a lot less useful without them.
They look scrappy but in a good way. Like it's definitely a style of its own. But they might be a bit harder to read at a glance? By no means i'm authority on this but i think if you want to try and cramp up as many stuff on a single thumbnail, you might wanna take a cleaner base image? Something like how this youtube channel does it:
I also scrolled down on your older videos and i think i like those thumbnails more:
Or this, if you intend on discussing tech topics?
I loved the 2019 modern warfare reboot. Loved the weapon customization and it had great multiplayer modes. MW2 will always be one of my favorites but the 2019 modern warfare was my go to game for 2 years straight. I lost interest in cod shortly after that one but for the time I played it I really enjoyed it
Ever since I watched James Cameron's The Terminator back in the early 1990's, I've been such a big Terminator fan having to watch all the movies whenever the mood strikes. I've even played a few of the games every now and then.
However, the game Terminator: Resistance is a video game that I've been wanting to much try, especially since the game according from it's description takes place sometime between The Terminator and T2: Judgement Day where you play a Resistance fighter fighting for the freedom from SkyNET and it's army of Terminators.
My question is, how good is Terminator: Resistance?
I have it and quite enjoy it. It is mostly sneaking around but it has the right kind of atmosphere for the Terminator universe. If you are into the Terminator franchise you will get more out of it. There are many better games out there but they don't have that Terminator feel. Get it on sale.
This is an okay game and at the same time one of the best Terminator games. Sure it was really bad when it first came out, but a lot of issues have been fixed on the PC side. I will say only get this game if it is on sale ($10) cause it is definitely not worth the full $40.
I been doing some testing for drivers on Linux since it is my primary OS. It was a lengthy setup, but it seems to work great with Linux. I decided to boot directly into Arch, but the current installer seems to have some problems, so I opted for KDE Manjaro. It seems Fedora 42 and Debian 13 work great too, if you're preference lies on those distros. Let me first clarify the original specs before I delve into the process after some minor upgrades:
Model: 83JG LOQ 15AHP10
RAM: 16GB DDR5 SODDIM
SSD: 1TB
CPU: Ryzen 7 250
GPU: RTX 5050 with 6GB vram
I tested running the system and gaming on it with FOSS drivers, but they tended to have some wonkyness here and there for some games (glitched textures, too much lag, some even crash, and I'm talking some of them are old Lego games). After installing the proprietary drivers for the dGPU (it's fine to keep the FOSS ones for the iGPU) everything worked smooth as butter, including ML model running on CUDA.
The upgrades were also easy to perform, both on the hardware side and the software side. For SSD I added a 2TB Samsung EVO 990 NVME M.2 into the extra slot, and just mounted it permanently with systemctl. I added an additional 16GB stick of DDR5 SODDIM RAM, which was immediately detected by Linux. Only caveats I see is that in the areas of the upgrades it feels a bit hot. I'm assuming is maybe the clock they're running, but I haven't had the time to check that.
Anyways, I was really surprised with the quality of this Laptop, as well as the battery life despite all the stuff going on it (granted I had to mess with some configs to optimize it a bit). So, good job Lenovo, keep up the good work
Hey! I have the same model, LOQ 15AHP10. I've been wanting to install linux, but due to compatibility issues I've been hesitating. How is Linux for you now? Do softwares/games work properly with dGPU. And What possible issues I may face while installing/using Linux
For context: I've been using Xubuntu on an old HP laptop for the past 2 years. I want to install Ubuntu on my LOQ.
Thanks for sharing, I'm constantly trying to fiddle with Linux on my Lenovo Y720. Depending on the distribution there's work for installing codecs or proprietary drivers that can help immensely.
From my perspective, Palworld is a game that truly scratches a unique itch. It takes the beloved creature-collecting formula and injects it with an engrossing survival-crafting loop, creating a hybrid that is surprisingly cohesive and addictive. While the comparisons to other games are obvious, Palworld manages to carve out its own identity by giving you a genuine sense of agency and progression. You're not just a passive trainer; you're an active participant in a living, breathing world where your captured Pals are essential to your survival, whether they're fighting alongside you, helping you build your base, or even serving as a source of food in a pinch.
What makes Palworld so good is how it blends these seemingly disparate genres. The joy of exploring a vast, diverse world and discovering new Pals is constantly rewarded with resources and technology that allow you to grow stronger and more efficient. The base-building aspect is incredibly satisfying, as you automate tasks and watch your Pals work tirelessly to produce everything you need. This sense of seeing your hard work pay off is a powerful motivator, and it keeps you coming back for "just one more hour." The combat, with its mix of Pal abilities and your own weapons, is surprisingly dynamic and a refreshing change from a typical turn-based system.
Of course, as an early access title, Palworld isn't without its flaws. The world can feel a bit empty at times, and the lack of a strong overarching narrative can make the later parts of the game feel a bit directionless. However, the core gameplay loop is so strong that these issues feel minor. The promise of future updates and new content only adds to the excitement. Palworld has already delivered an incredible amount of content and a truly fun experience, and it's a testament to its design that it's so easy to overlook its current imperfections in favor of the sheer enjoyment it provides.
Thanks for the review! I like you're descriptor of being an active participant in a live world when it comes down to the trainer's experience in the title. Can you expand on that a bit? I've been tempted to pick up a copy and check it out for myself.
I have played about 60 hours on the new Pokémon Legends Z-A title, and I am so disappointed by it. The entire world feels so lifeless and cookie cutter IMO.
Was it worth? Are you enjoying gaming on the platform that much more than the OG Switch?
I am also interested in. What about from an OLED to the 2? I noticed the Switch 2's are on sale.
I purchased one the day it released, and from my perspective, acquiring the console is worth it purely for the hardware upgrade. There were several third party titles on the OG switch that I would play, such as Cult of the Lamb or Pokémon Unite, that literally would lag because the hardware could not handle the software build. Now, everything runs so smoothly. I appreciate how much larger it is as well.
Nintendo isn't really spitting out anything that I would say requires a lot of power. So, if you're going into acquiring the Switch 2 for Nintendo's IP I would sit on it as the Switch 2 prices for their own games aren't worth the MSRP they are setting it at.
Just acquired a Magi65 by Iqunix and I am seriously loving it! I wanted something a little more slim when comparing it to my custom 75% build, and this is definitely a lot more compact and thin.
This keyboard also is such a nice dopamine hit to the ear. I swear that the keyboard community is right in saying that this is the creamiest sounding keyboard right outta the box. The board does have a little weight to it as it does have an all aluminum casing. I like it though. I gives it a premium feel.
I was also pleasantly surprised to see what the RGB settings are capable of on such a compact little board. Definitely worth the investment if you are looking for a compact, creamy, keyboard.
Head's up, the current price for the product is $119 USD.

I prefer low profile keyboards and will keep it in mind. Is there a model with a keypad?
Interested in what new games people are looking to play and what stands out amongst others.
Definitely looking forward to GTA VI and the new Lego Batman game. If I had to choose between the two, it'd be the Lego Batman game for me, as it's bringing in features similar to the Arkham series, which I have been a big fan of for a long time, and well, the devs over at Traveler's Tales don't disappoint!
I have a Legion Slim 5 16APH8-82Y9, that i bought brand new several years ago. It is my first gaming computer, since jumping from exclusive console use. As someone who pushes their laptop to its limits with games like Call of Duty: Warzone, Assassins Creed Series, and Cyberpunk 2077, my main concern of course, has always been thermal regulation, without compromising, performance.
Ive bought several "cooling pads" off Amazon, all claiming to be the best. Imo, there never was really that much of a drop in temps, to warrant even using them.
A month ago, i was browsing youtube and came across a review for the "METFUT Laptop Cooling Stand".
At first i was skeptical, but figured id give it a shot, after all i could return it, if it didnt work as claimed. The METFUT stand doesn’t just cool; it breathes life into your laptop. During marathon sessions of Call of Duty:Warzone and Assassins Creed Valhalla, my CPU/GPU temps used to spike to 90°C+, throttling performance and risking damage. With the thermoelectric cooler active, those numbers dropped by 15-20% – keeping my laptop in the safe zone even during intense firefights.
Thankyou for reading, and hope this helps, someone, in their quest to keep their gaming laptop alive, and kicking butt.
Invested in an Llano cooling pad, great experiences so far, I think it's worth it to keep the life of your Gaming Laptops long and stable, highly recommend!
Only worth it if you buy one that works with your laptop. You see a lot of people complaining that cooling pads don't work, but they often get one that pushes air into a laptop in the exact same spot where the laptop is pushing air out.
I have two IETS GT500 V1 coolers, they are often overlooked as they don't have digital controls or RGB. However, they are great at cooling my Legion Slim devices and have a built in USB hub along with the fastest RPM version of the fan used in the GT500 lineup. The fact I can also use them flat or height adjustable at an angle along with the easy to remove and clean dust filter on the intake also appeals a lot
Hey everyone, just wanted to reshare my review of the Legion 9i now that there is a dedicated community section for tech reviews!
Are you considering purchasing a PC or laptop from Lenovo’s business-focused Think line? Not sure which one best suits your needs?
If so, here’s a helpful comparison video that breaks down the differences between the ThinkPad, ThinkBook, ThinkStation, and ThinkCentre.
Shoutout to Beth for originally sharing this video in the comments of another thread in the Pro Community! I found it so helpful that I wanted to feature it in its own post in the Gaming community so more members could benefit as well.
I’d love to see similar comparison videos in the future for Lenovo’s education-focused Yoga line as well as their gaming-focused Legion and LOQ lines.

Did you find the video helpful? Do you currently use a computer from Lenovo’s Think line? If so, which one? Based on the video, do you plan to switch to a different model in the future? Would you like to see similar videos for Lenovo’s other product lines as well?
I saw the video when it was posted earlier. I concluded the ThinkBook was best for me (it is the rugged and portable line). I must say that I would like a better comparison for ThinkBook vs. ThinkPad and ThinkCentre vs. ThinkStation. Maybe get into why one is better-suited for its intended clientele.
Hello everybody! Let me tell you that it’s real cool to have kids... especially gamer kids :D… Beyond all the great stuff they come with, you get moments like this — sharing old classics from your childhood and reliving that nostalgic fun through their fresh new eyes. In this case… I introduced my Junior to Disney’s Hercules!
So… who hasn’t heard of Hercules and his antics? I, for one, first learned of him in school through the Legends of Olympus, a Romanian book (by Alexandru Mitru). But nowadays, Hercules is everywhere! Especially on TV, where you’ve got cartoons, TV series, movies, remakes, reinterpretations, he’s even in the Marvel comics. But my favorite, beyond Kevin Sorbo’s 1995 Hercules series, has always been Disney’s Hercules video game, which was released alongside the 1997 animated movie.
It lets you step into the sandals of the big guy himself, facing challenges to save the world and the girl, from all sorts of terrible monsters. But the experience is made extra fun by how the game captures the movie’s magic: it has the same vibrant aesthetic, and it’s voiced by the original cast, like Danny DeVito as Phil. For kids, this creates a “being in the movie” feeling that’s real exciting. Junior was thus hooked from the start!
Gameplay That Packs a Punch
Ok ok… so in terms of actual gameplay, the game doesn’t disappoint. It throws you into a mix of action & platforming, which will have you run through cities, dodge obstacles, solve mazes, perform plenty of acrobatics to keep you on your toes, fight epic bosses and even experience auto-scrolling shoot-’em-up sections. I was impressed by how much variety Disney managed to pack in just 11 levels.
One of my favorite, was facing the Cyclops — a giant as big as the world — who’s out to destroy a city. Chaos everywhere! Citizens running in all directions, and if they touch you, well… they’ll throw you in a bit of a spin and cost you a bit of life. So, jump over them or dodge them, all the while also avoiding falling stone blocks, craters forming in your path and other dangers in a city under siege. Oh, and don’t forget you also have power-ups, spinning coins and other hidden collectibles.
The levels get tougher as you go, having that classic ‘90s difficulty that’ll test your skills… so we never got bored, and Junior was especially eager to see what came next. I can say that I found myself playing this a bit too much before giving my Junior a chance at it… he was at my side, all wide-eyed and shouting “Let me play too!” for like the fifth time while I was hogging the keyboard. Oops… sorry, kiddo!
A Visual and Audio Treat
The graphics are a standout—a mix of 2D hand-drawn animation and 3D for depth and impact. It looks just like the movie, with bright colors and expressive characters that are always comically animated. And the audio side is complementing all of this… Like the funny lines from Phil aka Danny DeVito, cheering you on with stuff like “Rule #5, kid, concentrate!” The sounds pull straight from the movie, keeping you into the movie world. And this is also helped by a simple and responsive control scheme. So yeah… this is one of the few tie-in games to a movie that is actually good.
What We Took Away
Nop… How did we played it? Well… the old-school style—taking turns, just like I did with my little brother back in the day.... to see who can reach a further level or finds new secrets. Of course, Junior got first dibs on each level, and I’d also help here and there with my “Elderly Knowledge” from decades ago ... xD…
Now… beyond the fun, Hercules has some great lessons for kids. The story, mostly taken from the movie, is all about perseverance and inner strength—Hercules learning that being a hero isn’t just about muscles but about heart, about his choice to fight on despite the challenges. Junior loved seeing him triumphant at the end, and these lessons are reinforced through gameplay, as he needed to keep trying to overcome tough bosses like the Hydra or navigate tricky levels like the auto-scrolling “Titan Flight” on Pegasus, on which I remember even I had difficulty as a kid… hmm. We even had a little chat about what makes a hero a hero, which was a cool way to start initiating him into story structures and Psychology using The Hero’s Journey model… hehe… I Kidd!
That said, it’s not all perfect. Some levels, like the underworld with Hades, can get a bit spooky for youngsters — but for my 9yo Junior, what bothered him most were the pixelated graphics – this game would really need a remake or at least an update on the resolution front! Another downside is that ‘90s classic game style where there’s no saves or unlockable levels. Luckily… I found my old notebook in which I kept all passwords for my favorite games. Unfortunately, the game has an image based password system… and my drawings were… let’s just say... lacking.
In short, Disney’s Hercules is a good game for kids. Accessible gameplay, vibrant visuals, comedic tone, and the familiar Disney charm. It balances challenge and fun with enough variety to keep little ones entertained. If your kid loves Disney stories or characters, or even the Hercules movie, they’ll definitely have a blast with this... just like Junior did!
A Nostalgic Win for Parents and Kids
And… I’ll admit, even if I’m close to my 40’s, I still enjoyed this one and... whenever I would start the game again, maybe for a solo session, Junior would hear and come running like a bolt of lightning. Seeing his excitement brought back quite a few memories, so it was a joy to share this classic with him. Hercules still holds up in today’s world of modern games, offering quite a hours of fun for the nostalgic parents and kids alike.
So. Go grab it on GOG and give it a try — you’ll love it! If you’ve played Hercules with your kids, let me know how it went. Anyway… I wish you the best of gaming times!

This takes me back... I played this one quite a lot on the playstation and have quite a few memories of this game, also that it was pretty hard at times :).
Since my review of the Legion 9i laptop was so well received, thanks for checking it out everyone : ) Here is my review of the Legion Desktop with an i9 13900KF and the 4080. Since I buy these by myself, I haven't been able to review the newer model with the 14th gen CPU and 4090 since this one is still going strong.
The only thing I would wonder about is the updates of these things. I have a 7i with a 3070 and it is still in the extended warranty, but no updates for a very long time. Works fine though, touch wood.
