    Hello Legion Gamers!

Epic Games Store continues to offer games for free every week, and the free games this time are...

    Out of Line

A unique adventure game filled with beautiful puzzles all hand-drawn in a unique 2D style . Out of Line follows the adventures of San in a quest to escape the Factory that was once home. Dive into a story set in a mysterious world that is revealed through multiple chapters.

From the looks of it, this is a scroller puzzle game, maybe close to Limbo or Machinarium gameplay-wise. So if you like puzzles and stories, this may be a nice choice.

And that's not all, the second free game this week is...

    The Forest Quartet

The Forest Quartet is a 3D narrative puzzler about a gone, but not forgotten, lead singer. Play her spirit and travel through 3 acts unique to the members of her band for a final farewell concert. Face their emotions, solve puzzles and fight the corruption plaguing their souls.

This is another puzzle game, 3D this time, with a bittersweet story and simple graphics, by the looks of it. But what I personally particularly liked about this one is the music. As some of you will know, I like jazz, and the game has some good pieces of it, if the trailer is of any indication. So I will grab this one, and save it for some rainy November evening where puzzles around light with chill music would be a welcome way to spend it.

What about you, see anything that you like?

@DoctorEldritch Out of Line looks like something I could play. I have played similar games in the past.

Perhaps ironically, this is one of the reasons I thought to put it off myself: I am currently looking for a gaming experience a bit different from what I usually play. But that's a me problem, if it looks good to you, then go for it while the free offer lasts!

@DoctorEldritch Is there something that you are eyeing right now?

@Saka Do you mean apart from these 2 free offers?

@DoctorEldritch Yeah, you mentioned that you are looking for something different and this week's free offers don't fill that criteria.

@Saka There are a few options in the @GoLLuM13 game list for October, and the Hellboy I mentioned seems interesting to me from the style perspective, we do not often get that style these days, reminds me of The Wolf Among Us a bit. I only hope gameplay will be good as well.

Other than that, I am looking at Cyberpunk 2077 GOTY when it comes out, it is not "unusual gameplay" but I want to play it.

Truth be told, I have covered that need for new unusual gameplay now to a degree. I am playing Potionomics and Dave The Diver, and they both have interesting mechanics that are not that common. Potionomics with potion making, which is a bit like cooking time-management games, but I like the setting and nuances, and Dave The Diver just has a lot of things going on the deeper you go (pun intended).

I just meant to say, Out of Line looks good, but after Teslagrad and Nightmares and Inside and Ori, I want to wait a bit before playing something like this again. That, and I do not want to "spoil my appetite" before Silksong arrives. 😅

@DoctorEldritch Potionomics looks nice. Somehow I haven't heard of it before. It seems to be something I could put on my Steam wishlist and wait for a sale.

I got a bit of hunger of ARPGs. I have been playing MMOs most of the time lately again, largely because of the expansion that Guild Wars 2 just had. Now I have been surrounded deadlines and chaos to take care of, not that much time to spend playing. And I am yet to finish the playthrough of Hogwarts Legacy, grr. I need to get back to it.

Me too, it's a good thing that Telltale resurrected. The whole process of their shutting down was interesting and one of the better examples of how it can happen, I think. Though that being said, I have not tried their Expanse yet, but I hope The Wolf Among Us 2 will be as good as the first one. Have you read the original comics?
