    Hello Legion Gamers!

A bit of a news update. A little while ago EA confirmed that they cancelled the planned FPS game set in Star Wars universe where you could play as a Mandalorian mercenary. I was excited about that one.

The sad thing is that those people in the industry who saw the game parts that were done in their majority report that it looked promising if not fantastic with many good elements, it was to be a "less bloody cousin of DOOM set in SW universe". Oh, what might have been... Maybe gamers will start a petition...

That's the sad part. But on a more positive note, EA also confirmed that the strategy Star Wars game that Bit Reactor is working on (that studio is formed from Firaxis Games veterans who made XCOM and Sid Meierʼs Civilization) is not cancelled (yet), so we may see that Star Wars game in the future. This is curious, because that universe does not have many games in that genre.

But that is not all! Although Respawn will not be working on the Mandalorian game anymore, the studio confirmed to be working on the next Titanfall game, which will likely not be part 3, but rather a separate standalone instalment. This could be exciting: although Titanfall shares a universe with Apex Legends, it's been a while since we had a chance to pilot the Titans.

And maybe doubly exciting for me because I was working on Titanfall 2 back in the day ( @j7schultz, @GoLLuM13 and @SKYTRiXSHA, you are not the only ones with connections to the industry, though it's been a while since then 😅). So I hope it will be good.

I'm sad regarding the cancelled Mandalorian game :( I wish it would have came out, there is still huge hype around that series and characters.

@SKYTRiXSHA To be fair, it was not connected to the series, as far as I could see, it was more that the character you played was Mandalorian as in from Mandalor, and the gameplay was to do different mercenary contracts the same way Mando did in the beginning of the Mandalorian series. But I may be wrong.

Real shame indeed. If all went well, this game could have been for Mandalorian the same as Wild Hunt was for Geralt. Oh well. Maybe they will come back to it someday. Here it may come do to whether or not cutting licenses will pay off for them, I guess...

@GoLLuM13 This is the way it was meant to be played, the first game did not even have a proper campaign. Titanfall 2 did, and it was a fairly decent one (you know, for a shooter), but the real where it's at was in multi 😉
