@DracoTarot Arguably, this is what a good satire should do 😉. As they say, "funny cause it's true". Have you seen much of Veep or just the trailer?

@DoctorEldritch watched only the trailer, will definitely watch more. Really looks fun to watch. I am in the need of a bit of a giggle!!

@DracoTarot I never say no to a bit of giggle! And this one definitely provided that for me, and I hope it will do for you too!

@DoctorEldritch Ufff the Boys is really good! I also recomend Ratched (mild suspense but very interesting) Sex Education and Bonding (both incredibly wholesome and very educative) and I know I said it already but The Sandman is a must watch if you like Goth aestehics and well written plot and characters.

Hey @galadrielmt! If you like the boys, and in spirit with your recent post about cartoons (thank you!), have you seen The Boys Presents: Diabolical? It is an anthology cartoon in The Boys universe made of 8 different stories each in a different style. There's a Looney Toon-style one, for example. And the authors of Rick and Morty you mentioned also made one.

Ratched I'll have to try, thank you for that one. Maybe it's just me, but I felt that, after the departure of Jessica Lange from American Horror Story, Sarah Paulson could not really live up to the gap left as a Prima Donna of the series, though she had a good attempt. Maybe in a new series with no Jessica's shoes to fill she will be able to shine more. So I'll definitely check it out.

Sex Education I like, though I liked the first season better, it was more fun, with all those therapy sessions in the bathroom. Later they switched it more towards drama and I liked it more when it was lighter. But it's still good, and I am intrigued to see Ncuti Gatwa as the new Doctor as well, though here I am more, as they say, "cautiously optimistic".

Bonding I have not tried, and I think it's been canceled after 2 seasons now. Is it still worth it even though they decided not to continue the story?

And about Sandman and Goth, that was one of the things I found lacking as I've read the comic. When I was watching the series, I thought "Death should be more Goth". The actress is good, but they could have played that up in character design more, even if just with a different wardrobe. But that's me.

Been a bit since I put an entry of a series here, but a recent discussion with @ZaidH in @JokerZida's thread about the new Assassin's Creed game made me remember another series. It is BBC, so short but I liked it, and it has an awesome cast of Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman!

The series is called The Night Manager:

It is an espionage series about undercover work and arm dealers, based on the original novel, and I found it quite good both plot-wise, and in terms of actor play. So if you like espionage-type series and stories, and actors (hey there, Dr House and Loki!), then this is a good one to watch, and it is a short completed story, too!
