    @DoctorEldritch - Well, depends:

1 and 2 are more or less OK. 3 is a no-no for me. If they look human-ish I can get spooked and jumpy, but it should be bearable for a short period of time. If it's bad, I will get really scared with terrible nightmares. I will never forget, my 14-year-old self watching Resident Evil 1 and having nightmares for a whole month even with a light on. I got afraid of going to sleep 'cause every time I closed my eyes, I saw them. It was traumatic and I couldn't even share it with anyone because people would laugh at me and question me for watching it in the first place, knowing I am frightened of zombies. But I tried to face my fear (a few times with no success so far). Lesson learned: avoid zombies like vampires evading the Sun.

That does sound traumatic, sorry to hear that. And yeah, exposure therapy does not always work, I'd never want to be, say, in a tank full of snakes.

I do not fear snakes because of any films (though I'd never watch Anaconda or Snakes on the Plane), I got my fear when a poisonous snake got into my shoe (whilst I was wearing it) when I was a kid. Luckily, I was not bit, but ever since then I've been very wary of them.

But as for Frankenstein's Monster, actually, interesting that you put up this picture, because I personally never thought of Frankenstein's Monster from Penny Dreadful as being a proper one. There is an important distinction: Doctor Victor Frankenstein did not have a goal to reanimate the dead, his goal was to create life. So his monster is not a zombie or reanimated corpse that lived previously (like they play it in Penny Dreadful with his memories and family and all that), Frankenstein attached together parts of many different bodies and tried to create new life and consciousness where previously there was none. So I personally do not count Penny Dreadful as an example of that, but this is me. It is good that you can watch him there.

@DracoTarot I do not mind reptiles other than snakes. Lizards, chameleons, crocodiles I have no quarrel with (well crocodiles I like as sharks, from a safe distance). But snakes make me agitated, even if I know they are not poisonous.

I like Darkest Dungeon too, the lore, the mechanic, everything (hey, just look at my avatar!). I mentioned it in @M2lobaz thread about mods. If you use any mods for it, you can share them there, I know there are some decent character mods out there.

I haven't used any mods yet for Darkest Dungeon and only play the game as is. It's would be interesting to add some and if will download a few.

I'm not into horror or spooky events but..you should have seen the haunting of verdansk event from warzone, it was such an amusing tricky event you must see some gameplay (zombies, ghosts, jumpscares...etc)

Sounds cool. I haven't seen it yet. 🙂

😂😀. It's understandable. Everyone has their own type of interest in games and yes some games can have an effect on the mind.

What kind of games do you like to play overall?

@DracoTarot speaking of fear of heights - I don't think I have a phobia but this reminds me when I was once at a VR arcade and I got into one game that was like an elevator where you can sit in but it's open and I was seeing myself falling from Burj Khalifa in Dubai - I eventually closed my eyes, I got so scared😭

@QueenTomato I also do not enter an elevator. I would rather use the steps. In the process I will have a nice workout and most of the time I'll reach my destination first before others who use the elevator. My legs are long so I'm able to skip a few steps at a time.

A windowed elevator on the side of a building would be a big no for me. Maybe if I got paid to ride one I'll reconsider LOL!

VR games are becoming more and more realistic and I will gladly have any other experience with VR. Anything involving heights, not so much.

I guess it's not only a fear I have but also something I've experienced. One of my school friends fell off a 10-story building. You can guess how it ended. Seen it happen. Since that day my feet is firmly planted on the ground. 😁

@QueenTomato I will not skip one when released just for the scare factor.

I like games giving me a bit of an adrenaline rush. VR horrors make it even better in a way.

I'm afraid of heights but not afraid of zombies who want to eat my brains or a vampire who wants to suck me dry.

    A strange creature I am! 😂
