Games are amazing, but they tend to be fairly sterile as far as what they gravitate towards and end up being, thankfully some companies are still pushing the envelope with new ideas and ways to do things. I've always wanted a real novice to pro type game though, RPG's and action adventure games always had the same type of game mechanics when it comes showing the newness of a player. High level enemies always just kill you too quickly as well as the player still looks fairly competent in battle. I would enjoy for a video game to really throw itself into the novice part. Imagine a game where the animation and stats mimicked the characters low level, low hit %, defend %, critical attacks. animation wise they look scared and unsure in their stance and movements. then as they level up everything (maybe through training mini games) the character begins to look and feel more powerful and skilled. Anyone else have a feature they'd like to see?
