HOW IMPORTANT OF AN ISSUE IS DENUVO IN GAMES FOR YOU?

So I saw Square Enix removed Denuvo from FFF XVI yesterday which is welcoming news. I was wondering what your take on Denuvo is. As much as I dislike Denuvo, I do understand how a company wants to protect its IP during launch sale windows but any longer than that is unnecessary imo and only has the potential to make the game perform worse. It definitely doesn't improve performance so why not remove it after a month or two. For example, I have had games deem unplayable several times in the past when game servers crash or unintendedly go offline making the Denuvo authentication a nightmare scenario. The last time this happened I couldn't launch my game for a whole day. I not only don't remember the game due to not ever playing it again but it convinced me to wait until Denuvo is removed if a game has it. I think it is fair for both players and publishers if games only kept Denuvo for a launch period of a month or so. I don't think it would change sales numbers and actually might bring in more revenue as those who don't want Denuvo will be buying the game only a month later at a higher price than two years down the road when it is in the bargain bin. What are your thoughts on the subject? Sometimes I think that I overreact but acting on my principles are really important to me personally even when issues are often gray. I just loathed not being able to play a full priced game because Denuvo couldn't authenticate for whatever reason. Performance issues can also arise from it but it's losing access to my game where it becomes unethical to me. If a company can't guarantee from their end that I can access my full priced game when I want then this is not a sound transaction. Looking forward to reading your responses.
