I often want my laptop to be fully charged in case I can't have it plugged in for an extended period of time, but I don't want to charge it to 100, then unplug, then charge it again and repeat this cycle. So I'm wondering if it's bad to have my laptop plugged in and on conservation mode when the battery is above 80%. Also, how does conservation mode actually work? Like, does it totally cut of the AC power of the charger, whatever that means, and therefore have no effect on the battery?
Is it bad for my battery if I leave it plugged in and on conservation mode when the battery is above 80%?
