Is it worth buying a gaming console for the exclusives, and is there any other benefit to console vs. PC gaming?

Discussion

With console exclusives increasingly being re-released to PC within one to three years, is it worth investing in a console vs. buying or building your own PC to upgrade later? Do some gamers prefer using that console's controller if it's not PC compatible or playing games on a TV vs. a monitor (because of color or differences in picture quality or rendering)? Do consoles (depending on the console), especially PS5 base and Pro versions and the Xbox X and S have any power-efficiency advantages over the TDP that a PC uses? Many influencers including Linus Tech Tips and JayZTwoCents have shown that you can build a near-peer that can match and in some ways surpass the performance of a PS5 or PS5 Pro for around their same retail cost, respectively. Compromises might need to be made including buying second-hand PC components (so, you forgo a warranty) to achieve this. Except for the possibility of the increasingly outdated Nintendo Switch (which will probably never release its exclusives and intellectual property to the PC gaming market), do you think it's worth it to buy an Xbox or PS5 for full-retail price or not, and what are your reasons?
