After being disappointed with Sony's support for their latest headset, I am so excited to be able to use it to play pc titles in vr. I think the PSVR2 is great hardware but has been hindered by two things: tethering and lack of titles. The tether is not as big of a deal for me but the ability to play a vast array of pcvr titles with mods is a game changer. Unfortunately features like HDR, haptic feedbacks and eyetracking is not being supported through Sony but the fact that the hardware is capable of it gives me hope that mods can add these features in some games. I have always wanted a high resolution headset for pc but they are so expensive and already having a PS5 I opted for PSV2 rather than the Quest 2 at the time. Now Sony has dropped the price of the headset by $200 so it can be had for $350 which is insane for the hardware. I am curious if any pc gamers out there are going to buy one now that it has pc support this month. The adapter is only $60 which is reasonable so at the moment, this is the best cost vs quality headset on the market for pc. Is the lack of haptic feedback and eyetracking a deal breaker even at the current low entry price? From my experience on PS5, a lot of devs didn't implement good haptic feedbacks anyway. The haptics that stood out to me were in Resident Evil Village and RE 4. They were decent but not great in Pistol Whip, Paradise Hotel, and Vertigo. Eye tracking, on the other hand, is really a great feature when available in a game. Also, for those of you that play vr games on pc, what games that are exclusive to pc should I get besides Alyx Half Life and Boneworks which I will get as soon as I have the adapter in hand? I would appreciate any suggestions.ย ย
