I've been shopping around for a new monitor and noticed something weird — the ones with USB-C are always more expensive, even when everything else is basically the same. Same size, same resolution, same refresh rate, same panel type… but add a USB-C port and suddenly the price jumps.
Is there actually something expensive about adding USB-C, or is it just a convenience tax? Kinda feels like we’re paying extra just because it's a newer port.
