Is anyone else having trouble getting external monitor via HDMI working?

I am trying to connect my Legion Go to a LG C1 via HDMI using an Anker 556 USB-C hub (USB 4, HDMI 2.0 or 2.1). If I'm lucky I get an image on the TV that has random static-ish lines flashing through it, though this quickly devolves into the image cutting to a black screen, blinking on and off, until eventually I get a loss of signal message on the tv. Sometimes I get nothing. I think there is a correlation between the output somewhat working when the Legion Go battery is at 100% and it has less chance of working at under 98%.

I've tried connecting a different laptop to the hub/TV setup and it works perfectly. I've also connected the Legion GO/Hub to 2 different TVs and get the exact same result. I've tried lots of things, roll back BIOS, turn off power saving, etc. Nothing seems to make a difference.

I noticed the other day while looking something up that the specs for the Legion Go do not list HDMI as supported via the USB4 ports. Is this the problem?

Any help is appreciated as my window to return the Legion Go closes in a couple of days.
