Update on RSR Portrait Screen Issue on Legion Go

Hi I just want to raise visibility of issue on Legion Go screen and AMD Driver so that it will get noticed and included in future fix.

One of the main driver of us buying Legion Go with larger screen resolution and higher refresh rate is the promising future of upscaling and frame generation technology. With the considerably weak recent release of AMD next generation upscaler and frame generation such as FSR3 and AFMF I hope we are able to use the technology too. Since adoption rate of FSR in-game by developer is considerably lower compared to DLSS, I think our best chance to enjoy the tech is by using driver level upscaler and frame generation such as RSR and AFMF.ย

Well, the problem is RSR is buggy as hell on potrait screen. I've been trying to raise this issue on every weekly update that Ben and the team but it didn't get noticed. I've also ask on discord and there nothing except for using 3rd party software such as MagPie or Lossless Scaling.

I know that you guys are working on AFMF, but I've seen that to use AFMF well you actually need to have high enough fps already. And I think that is quite unusable on handheld device such as Legion Go. Could you give some kind of insight whether this is still been working on and it just didn't included in the weekly update OR it is actually limitation of the hardware (due to the potrait screen) and there's no way Driver/Bios able to sort this issue. I really love my Legion Go and really appreciate all of the updates you guys have been doing up to this far.

Also taggingย Ben G. (Lenovo CM)ย andย BenMyersย for visibility.
