During your gaming career, which Nintendo consoles have you owned? Which one did you have the biggest collection for? Do you still have them? Which one is your favorite?
I've owned (and still do):
- NES
- SNES
- N64
- GameCube
- Wii
- Wii U
- Switch
- Game Boy
- Game Boy Pocket
- Game Boy Color
- Game Boy Advance
- Game Boy Advance SP
- Virtual Boy
- DS
- DS Lite
- 3DS
- New 3DSXL
Yes, I am a Nintendo fan. I have plenty of other consoles, but I always make sure to have the Nintendo line covered.
I have pretty sizeable collections for most, but I think NES is probably the largest with just over 200 carts. Game Boy, DS and Wii are also honorable mentions here. My SNES and N64 collections have the most gaps in them, but with retro game prices what they are these days, I probably won't fill them easily.
My favorite...that's admittedly a tough choice. I love most of them, but NES and SNES are probably always going to be my go-to retro console experiences because they were the systems I played in my formative gaming years (elementary school through high school). Switch absolutely needs to be pointed out here though for being super versatile and allowing me to play a curated collection of classic titles from a variety of retro systems (though on that front, it's a bit tough to beat my handheld emulation systems - RG350, RG351V and RetroFlag GPi - since they allow me to play nearly every retro game I'd want to play on almost any classic console that I care about).
