Since my current laptop's processor is unsupported by Windows 11 and Windows 10's End-Of-Life (EOL) means the aging OS will no longer receive any additional updates unless extended Windows 10 support has been purchased directly through Microsoft, I opted to completely replace my laptop's preinstalled Windows 10 setup in favor of Linux last year, and has in my case been a pretty good one for the most part.
As an avid gamer and as a a full-time Linux user, I've really been quite amazed at just the number of Windows-native games I can play on Linux. Since most of the games I play don't rely on some sort of kernel-level anti-cheat software, I've found that most of the games in both my Steam and GOG libraries is completely playable within Linux, but with some caveats which I noticed is mainly the inability to play in-game movies, whereas other caveats I noticed includes but is not limited to:
Inability to switch to full screen
Looses keyboard and mouse focus on fullscreen after app switch (Genshin Impact)
Even with the above two caveats in addition to the non in-game playable movies/cutscenes and non-playable MMO games with kernel-level anticheats, I'm pretty happy especially since many Windows-native games I noticed tends to have slightly better performance than when natively run on Windows.
So Linux users and gamer's, what has your gaming experience been like on Linux?
