PS5 vs. Gaming Laptop: Which is Right

Hey Legion community, I'm thinking of upgrading my gaming setup and I'm torn between a PS5 and a gaming laptop. I love the idea of a dedicated gaming console, but I also appreciate the portability of a laptop.
What are your thoughts? Which one would you recommend?
